The INMO, as the largest professional union for nurses and midwives, represents circa 40,000 members in all disciplines and areas of the Irish health service.
The Organisation provides a full range of services including industrial relations, professional advocacy, professional policy, regulatory support and continuing education.
Due to a restructuring of the organisation a vacancy has now arisen for a Director of Industrial Relations.
Who Should Apply?
This challenging post will be based in our Dublin Head Office. The post holder will be required to take a lead role, on many relevant IR/HR issues and to constantly demonstrate an awareness of IR/HR trends as they affect nursing/midwifery grades. The post will be demanding and will require the post holder to demonstrate strong leadership, dynamism, communication, teamwork and excellent organisation skills.
A qualification in, employment law / Industrial Relations is essential. Applicants should have a good working knowledge of the Irish health system and a commitment to the wider trade union movement.
