This research, commissioned by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU), investigates the prevalence and nature of workplace racism and the responses of trade unions across Ireland. This report of findings highlights the experiences of racism in workplaces and the union representation of workers from minority ethnic and migrant backgrounds in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. It examines key aspects such as the challenges of making or supporting complaints about racial discrimination or harassment, the experiences of advocating for non-discrimination in the workplace, and the role of trade unions in addressing racial discrimination in the future.
